Our beautiful Sophie girl crossed over the rainbow bridge on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Our young, vibrant, 6-year-old girl was diagnosed with bladder cancer back in May and was only given a few days to live, but thanks to our incredible vet she gave us another unforgettable 4 months with her. To say we miss her is an understatement. She was such a pivotal part of our lives and we truly don’t know what to do without her. The house is too quiet. Her bowls are too empty. Our bed is too roomy. Our hearts are too broken. She was with us through every milestone – good or bad, sick or healthy, happy or sad, she didn’t care as long as she was with us. She loved us unconditionally with no strings attached. I find peace in knowing that we gave her the best life and we did everything we could for her, but we thought we had more time. Sophie, we hope you’re playing frisbee, eating steak and cheese, going on walks, barking everyone’s ears off, eating stinky bones, laying in the warm sun, cuddling on your fuzzy blanket, and watching over us up in heaven. To know her, was to love her. We miss you, we love you, we will never forget you. Until we meet again Mommy Girl🪽🐾💔🌈 “If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”
