Memorial Tribute for Lila Thaxton

My sweetest Lila,
From the day we rescued you, our lives became filled with love and laughter. The happiness you brought to all of our lives was palpable. You filled our home with a love that I could never forget! You were the best sleeping partner a girl could be blessed with. I struggled with severe sickness over the last ten years and you literally never left me. I will never forget your sweet kisses! and the way you would get under the covers and snuggle up tight when I had trouble getting warm. I know there are angels in this world, because for 14 years, you were mine. Now, I have to figure out how to do this without you. I will make you proud of me. I will hold tight to all of the love you left with me, you left so much, it will stay with me until we are together again. Have the most fun running around feeling the amazing wind in your fur with our precious Scarlet until we get there. Meet me on the bridge, my girl. You will have my heart forever. I love you more than itself.

You don’t know me but I do subscribe to the obituaries here to see the stories people share about their pets who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge (https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm). So sorry for your loss of Lila. Thank you so much for sharing some of her amazing story. I can see she meant the world to you and had a tremendous impact on your life. And what a cutie pie😊. Our pets bring so much unconditional love and joy to our lives. They truly are family members who we create and share memories with. Keep those with you and she will live on in your heart forever. RIP Lila.
